A bespoke senior living housing scheme whose architectural approach represented a contemporary reinterpretation of local character with a layout and floorplans designed to support those with reduced mobility

The layout features semi-private gardens and communal spaces to allow for time outside chatting with the neighbours

We opted for a simple design approach with sheltered entrances and integrated and accessible bin storage with a colour palette which reflected materials found locally

Detailed analysis identified local characteristics to help give the scheme a sense of place and satisfy planning policy

Architectural concepts were explored at the early stage to help engage stakeholders in the design vision
